Statutory Inspections (PECPR)
CBIP Certified Statutory Inspection Services
We operate under the Health and Safety in Employment PECPR Regulations 1999 (Pressure equipment, cranes and passenger ropeways).
Our specialist inspectors are qualified to perform in-service, fabrication and commissioning safety inspections to ensure your pressure vessels, boilers, or cranes meet your regulatory obligations.

Why PECPR Inspection is Necessary
Before any asset covered by pressure vessel, boiler or crane legislation can be put into service it must be issued with a COI.
For a COI, it needs to comply with regulations (including design verification to the relevant standards, engineering reports, manufacturing data reports, seismic assessment, non-destructive testing, pressure/load testing etc).
When a COI expires, the equipment is then inspected ‘in-service’ and a new COI is issued (subject to anything the inspection might require, like a repair).
Most COIs expire after a year, so if you’re unsure, give our friendly team a call. Our specialist PEPCR inspectors are certified to work throughout New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.
