3PI Engineering Services
We offer a comprehensive range of engineering integrity assessments to help you ensure your assets are safe and reliable.
Fitness-for-Service (FFS) Assessments
An FFS assessment by 3PI gives you a clear picture of the current condition of your assets and their likely reliability.
Our assessment can define the remaining service life of the asset, and recommend appropriate inspection intervals to ensure ongoing operational safety and compliance. It will also determine if repair, rerate, modification or replacement is necessary due to wear or damage.
3PI Fitness-for-Service (FFS)assessments can be made in accordance with original design and
construction codes, as well as industry standards such as API 579. We can assess pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping, and storage tanks, from individual components to complete vessels and entire process systems.
Inspections can evaluate brittle fracture, metal loss, pitting, blister damage, out of roundness and crack-like-flaws. We can also evaluate a range of damage mechanisms such as creep damage, fire damage, dents & gouges, laminations, and fatigue.
-
We offer end-to-end code-compliant solutions from conceptual design through to detailed engineering and stress analysis. We can also assess existing systems for integrity, rerating, or modification.
-
We cover all aspects of piping system design and evaluation, including material selection, wall thickness calculations, nozzle placement, and support structures, in accordance with international standards, including ASME Section VIII, PD 5500 and AS 1210.
-
3PI pressure vessel designs meet API 650, API 620, or other applicable standards, with considerations for seismic, wind, and hydrostatic loading.
-
3PI tank designs meet API 650, API 620, or other applicable standards, with considerations for seismic, wind, and hydrostatic loading. We also provide design services for tank repairs and retrofits
-
3PI mechanical design and integrity assessments ensure pipelines are safe, efficient, and reliable. Our pipeline engineering services include FFS evaluations, rerating, and failure analysis, in compliance with standards AS2885, ASME B31.4 and B31.8.
